Reader Ministry

Readers are trained to proclaim Scripture for our parish liturgies.
Open to parishioners 6th grade and older.
The act of proclaiming scripture is an important and integral part of our Mass and all liturgical events.  Great care must be taken to properly and reverently read the Word of God to the congregation to enhance their receiving and understanding of the Word.   
Scripture readers are provided training so that they may understand their duties well never being a distraction, but enhancing the presentation of the Word. 
 
All interested volunteers must be up to date in the Diocese of Fort Worth Safe Environment Program. Click here for additional information.
