• Virtual Choir Concert
In this time of isolation, our 12:30 and 5 Choirs both wanted to do a “virtual choir” video where everyone sings their part at home and then they are all put together as they are at Mass. Both choirs chose the same song, “Great Are You Lord,” so we combined both choirs in one video. Their singing was inspired and they found it an awesome experience to see & hear everyone praising God together. Click to watch the video on YouTube.

  • Fr. Jim's Commentary on Amazon Synod
Dear Faithful of St. Andrew Parish: Greetings, pilgrims! I have been receiving questions about the Holy Father and this Pachamama idol worship in the Vatican Garden. What is this about, people ask. I can only say, I haven’t the foggiest idea. I don’t know what to make of what is coming out of the Vatican and this Amazon Synod these days. It’s all too nuanced when an explanation is forthcoming from Pope Francis. And his Communications people do little to allay fears and disappointments. I think the Pope needs lots of prayers, particularly the Rosary for an increase in Wisdom, for much foolishness is coming from his Sacred Office. I have studied other religions, including pagan philosophies and New Age transcendentalism. There is nothing holy about GIA, referring to Mother Earth, and a naked and pregnant female image can even be found as a symbol of Freemason’s take on the AntiChrist being born of a woman to overcome the Church and the Kingdom of God. Nothing holy or wholesome is gleaned from this and bowing with forehead to the ground is a radical expression of submission to pagan models, bordering on a heresy called Pantheism, a worship of nature, without God. It is worship that admits or tolerates all gods. So, brothers and sisters, take a stand! Continue to be convicted in our Holy Catholic Church/Faith/Teachings/Deposit of Faith. Spend some time in front of the Real Presence of Christ at our new Sacred Heart Adoration Oratory here at St. Andrew Parish. Pray your rosaries for the Church leadership, particularly the Pope and his counselors, for yes, there is definitely the “smoke of Satan” in the Vatican, as St. Pope Paul VI’s said in the 70’s, when Modernists began to influence catechesis and preaching, reducing the Truth to mere shadows of what the Catholic Church teaches and believes. COURAGEO, brothers and sisters! Christ is always with us, even to the end of the world. In Christ+ Fr. Jim Gigliotti, TOR Pastor
